About Us
Project EQ was created by The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) to facilitate the collaboration of Georgia's state and local school systems and educational agencies in formulating, developing, and improving every component of Title II, Part A Equity Plans and to ensure that every student has access to equitable educational opportunities.

The GaPSC is the state entity responsible for teacher quality, establishing and enforcing teaching standards, and certifying and licensing teachers. Working with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), the GaPSC is also responsible for implementing the No Child Left Behind initiatives related to equity and teacher quality. Project EQ is an additional resource to assist school systems in meeting all the state and local Title II, Part A goals as well as the equity components of the No Child Left Behind Act.

Developed with an initial focus upon Georgia's school systems, the national scope of these initiatives is clear and the GaPSC hopes that this resource will grow as participation expands to include other states and school systems. If you would like more information about the GaPSC and Title II, Part A in Georgia please visit us on our website at www.gapsc.com.
